Pennslyvania’s UPMC Acquires Erie-Based EAP

Circle Connections: Mergers & Acquisitions The University of Pittsburgh Medical Center's LifeSolutions, a nonprofit organization specializing in employee assistance programs, is purchasing the assets of Northwest Beacon EAP, UPMC announced. As part of the deal, Northwest Beacon EAP staff will become LifeSolutions' employees and will continue to serve clients in northwest Pennsylvania from Northwest's Erie office. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. This was reported by the Pittsburgh Business Times on February 19, 2013.
