Pennsylvania’s Highmark, Jefferson Regional Complete Affiliation

Circle Connections: Mergers & Acquisitions Insurer Highmark Inc. and Jefferson Regional Medical Center in western Pennsylvania have announced the completion of their affiliation, making Jefferson Regional the first to join Highmark's new integrated delivery system, according to a news release. The affiliation of Allegheny County-based Jefferson Regional with Highmark and UPE, a nonprofit that will be the new parent of Highmark, comes with up to $100 million for capital projects, the release stated.
