Circle Connections: Mergers & Acquisitions The University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC) has joined Greensburg-based MedCare Equipment Co. LLC effective March 1, dropping longtime partner Apria Healthcare Inc. of Lake Forest, California. The deal creates the biggest company of its kind in the region and continues consolidation in an industry that has been taking heat in recent years over government reimbursement.
