NCQA Starts New Medical Home Program
Circle Connections: Awards & Accreditations The National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) has launched a recognition program for specialists that work with patient-centered medical homes. Patient-centered medical homes consist of teams of providers that oversee a patient's care through all phases of treatment. Medical home arrangements generate savings through more efficient care, improved access, and better coordination, according to NCQA's website. This was reported by MedPage Today on March 29, 2013.
