Connecticut Requires Anthem To Repay $400K In Behavioral Health Claims
Circle Connections: Policy & Regulatory Updates Anthem Health Plans has agreed to reprocess thousands of behavioral health insurance claims and make $400,000 in additional payments to Connecticut providers after state regulators questioned the insurer's medical billing reimbursement practices. The Connecticut Insurance Department announced the settlement Wednesday and said Anthem, which is based in Wallingford, has also agreed to adjust its medical billing code reimbursement procedures for behavioral health claims.
