Kentucky Dismisses Commissioner Of Behavioral Health Agency
Circle Connections: New Talent Kentucky officials are giving no reason for the dismissal of a commissioner who oversees services for people with mental illness and disabilities. His firing was effective at the end of business on June 7th. Dr. Stephen Hall was commissioner of the Department for Behavioral Health, Developmental and Intellectual Disabilities since 2009. No cause was given for Hall's termination. Hall was a political appointee and served at the pleasure of Gov. Steve Beshear. His dismissal cannot be appealed to the Kentucky Personnel Board.
