Illinois’ Heartland Human Services Receives Accreditation

Circle Connections: Awards & Accreditations Heartland Human Services, a behavioral health agency serving the Effingham region for over 40 years, recently earned The Joint Commission's Gold Seal of Approval for accreditation by demonstrating compliance with The Joint Commission's national standards for health care quality and safety in behavioral health care. Heartland underwent an on-site survey in March. A team of Joint Commission surveyors evaluated Heartland for compliance with standards of care specific to infection prevention and control, leadership, and medication management.
