Circle Connections: New Products & Services A provider of behavioral-health services to Northwest North Carolina has gone out of business. The provider, New River, was founded in 2001 and based in Sparta. It served about 500 clients in an 11-county area that included Alleghany, Ashe, Surry, Watauga, Wilkes and Yadkin. Clients requiring medication are expected to transition to Daymark Recovery Services Inc. and others going to Daymark and other local providers. Daymark accepted clients in a similar situation in October 2011 when New River Behavioral Healthcare of Boone closed, affecting more than 13,000 clients in eight counties . . .
