Circle Connections: Policy & Regulatory Updates The La Crosse County Health Department is considering phasing out its home health care services by mid-2014 to save $150,000 to $200,000 a year. "The reimbursement from Medicare and BadgerCare is too low to cover the costs," said Health Director Doug Mormann. "The county's property tax has been subsidizing it for a number of years."
