Circle Connections: New Products & Services The Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA) has unveiled best practices for healthcare providers to use when communicating with patients about their medical bills. The guidelines are the culmination of a process that began in May 2012, when billing and collections company Accretive Health, under fire for controversial collection practices, said it would fund a panel to develop standards for patient financial interactions.
