Illinois Mental Health Agency Funding Threatened Over Inmate Treatment
Circle Connections: Policy & Regulatory Updates The local community mental health center was warned Tuesday that its taxpayer funding could be at risk if services to released jail inmates don't improve. The warning came when the McLean County Board's justice committee adopted recommendations from a federal consultant that calls for changes in housing for mentally ill inmates. Committee member Bill Caisley said delays in getting mentally ill inmates into the McLean County Center for Human Services are unacceptable.
