New York’s Commission on Economic Opportunity Names Rensselaer Mental Health Commissioner Its New CEO
New Talent Following a six-month nationwide search for its new chief executive officer, the Commission on Economic Opportunity (CEO) has announced that its new CEO hails from Rensselaer County. Katherine Maciol, a Schodack resident, who currently serves as commissioner of the Department of Mental Health for Rensselaer County, will start her new position in early January after CEO's current Executive Director, Karen Gordon, retires at the end of December after 30 years of service. Having worked with CEO in the past, Maciol, a licensed social worker, said she was attracted to the position since she knew the work . . .
