Arizona Names New Behavioral-Health Provider
Circle Connections: Policy & Regulatory Updates State officials gave the go-ahead Tuesday for a new company to provide behavioral-health services to Maricopa County residents beginning next year. The $3 billion, three-year contract goes to Mercy Maricopa Integrated Care, which won out over the current contractor, Magellan, as the Arizona Department of Health Services weighed competing bids. Mercy Maricopa's president and CEO, Eddy Broadway, said the company will bring a new style of care to county residents, blending mental-health services with physical-health care.
