Michelle Snyder Retiring From CMS
Circle Connections: New Talent Michelle Snyder, COO of the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services and No. 2 official charged with the rollout of the Affordable Care Act federal exchange website, is retiring. Some viewed Snyder's exit as a consequence of the website's very public failure. Snyder is the second administration official to depart since the launch. Tony Trenkle, CMS' chief information officer, left the agency in early November for a job in the private sector. Trenkle helped oversee the rollout of HealthCare.gov.
