Wisconsin’s Gundersen Lutheran’s New Behavioral Unit Expands Capacity, Battles Stigma
Circle Connections: New Products & Services Gundersen Lutheran Health System will start 2013 with a new behavioral health unit that expands capacity and aims to battle the stigma of mental health problems. The unit, formally titled Inpatient Behavioral Health Hospital, will be unveiled to the public during a January open house and begin accepting patients in February 2013. The present facility next door, built in 1972, has 24 beds, but ten are double rooms. The new one has 24 individual rooms, increasing patient privacy and safety.
