Patricia Schroeder Resigns As Milwaukee County Behavioral Health Division Administrator
Milwaukee County Behavioral Health Division Administrator Patricia Schroeder will resign at the end of January 2016 after overseeing the closing of the last two long-term psychiatric care units at the troubled Mental Health Complex during her 18-month tenure. Long-term patients have been transferred to residential centers in county municipalities as part of a shift from institutions to community-based care. Schroeder is a former executive vice president in the ProHealth Care System and a former senior vice president of Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare. She has published six books on health care quality improvement.
