Acadia Healthcare Breaks Ground On Behavioral Health Hospital To Open In Mesa, Arizona In 2024

Acadia Healthcare Company (Acadia) broke ground in on March 6, 2023, on a new 100-bed acute care behavioral health hospital in Mesa, Arizona. The facility, to be named Agave Ridge Behavioral Hospital, is slated to open in early 2024. It will offer a full continuum of inpatient behavioral health care services for youth and adults.

According to data compiled from the Treatment Advocacy Center, U.S. Census Bureau and American Hospital Directory, Maricopa County has a deficit of 893 behavioral health beds in the County. The County should have 2,331 beds to meet its behavioral health care needs . . .
