Addiction Treatment Organizations In Northeastern New York Merge

The Prevention Team of Essex County (the Prevention Team) and Citizen Advocates have announced their intent to merge. The affiliation would allow the agencies to provide specialized services for addiction disorder to more residents.

Beginning September 1, the two agencies will begin working together to help families and communities struggling with addiction disorder associated with alcohol, narcotics, and/or prescription drugs. If the proposed merger goes through, Citizen Advocates will replace the county as the pass-thru for the Prevention Team's state funding.
