Addus HomeCare Increases Presence In New Mexico With Agreement To Purchase Ambercare Corporation

Addus HomeCare Corporation (Addus) recently announced it has signed an agreement to acquire Albuquerque-based Ambercare Corporation (Ambercare). The $40 million transaction is expected to complete during the second quarter of 2018.

Currently, Ambercare serves about 2,600 consumers throughout the state of New Mexico. Addus anticipates that the acquisition will not only yield profitable results for the company, but also significantly expand the scope of the services it provides in New Mexico. The purchase ads to other recent expansion by the Addus, including its August 32017 purchase of Option Home Care.
