Alzheimer’s Association Awarded $25 Million To Enhance Respite Care For Dementia Caregivers, Now Accepting Grant Applications
The federal Administration for Community Living (ACL) awarded the Alzheimer’s Association a grant valued at $25 million over five years to make respite services and provider organizations more dementia-capable. With the grant funds, the association established a new Center for Dementia Respite Innovation (CDRI) to provide a maximum of 20 grants totaling $4 million annually for the next five years to respite provider organizations.
