Amazon Announces It Has Started Assembling Equipment For A Testing Lab

Amazon announced the organization has begun the work of building incremental testing capacity to aid in testing efforts for the 2019 novel coronavirus (COVID-19). A team of researchers, program managers, procurement specialists, and software engineers from Amazon have moved from their normal day jobs onto the testing team to work on the new initiative. They have begun assembling the equipment they need to build the first laboratory and hope to start testing small numbers of their front line employees soon.
