American Psychological Association Names New Chief Executive Officer
The American Psychological Association (APA) named former Philadelphia Behavioral Health and Intellectual disAbility Service Commissioner and psychologist Arthur C. Evans Jr., Ph.D. as their new chief executive officer (CEO). He will also serve as CEO for the APA Practice organization, a support organization of practicing psychologists.
Dr. Evans made changes to the Philadelphia Behavioral Health and Intellectual disAbility Service to improve health outcomes and increase service system efficiency. He is nationally recognized for his innovative and effective policies. Before his 12-year tenure in Philadelphia, Dr. Evans was the Connecticut Department of Mental Health & Addiction Services Commissioner.
