AmeriHealth Caritas announced that its South Carolina health plan, Select Health of South Carolina, will offer a Medicare Advantage Special Needs Plan for people dually eligible for Medicare and Medicaid (D-SNP). The new plan is called First Choice VIP Care. It is accepting enrollment applications in 42 of the states’ 46 counties. Services go live January 1, 2022.
Select Health of South Carolina, is part of the AmeriHealth Caritas Family of Companies. It contracted with the South Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (SCDHHS) to offer First Choice VIP Care. Select Health offers Medicare Advantage plans in all 46 South Carolina counties.
