Arkansas Children’s Establishes $70 Million Center Focused On Opioids’ Impact On Children 

Arkansas Children’s will be home to the new $70 million National Center for Opioid Research & Clinical Effectiveness (NCOR), which will focus on opioids’ impact on children. Funding for the NCOR includes $50 million of Arkansas’ opioid settlement funds. The facility is expected to increase understanding of the impacts of the opioid crisis on the fetus, newborns and developing children. It is also expected to aid in the development of evidence-based treatments.
