Autism Support of Imperial County, California Launches New Mobile Diagnosis Unit

Autism Support of Imperial County (ASIC), a nonprofit organization that gives information and support to parents and family members of people with autism, introduced a new Mobile Diagnosis Unit to serve county residents. This is the first mobile unit in the state designed to diagnose developmental disabilities. The goal is for trained psychologists to diagnose children aged one to five, and provide early intervention services to infants and toddlers.

ASIC partnered with the San Diego Regional Center to secure a grant through the Department of Disability Services for the mobile diagnosis unit. This grant will enable ASIC to serve individuals . . .
