Avel eCare Acquires Amwell Psychiatric Care To Expand Telemedicine Services

Avel eCare, which provides telehealth clinician-to-clinician consultation services, acquired Amwell Psychiatric Care (APC), a division of Amwell®. Financial terms were not disclosed. The acquisition expands Avel eCare’s behavioral health services to meet growing demand across rural and urban communities.

Avel eCare believes the APC acquisition will enable faster transitions for consumers experiencing mental health crises to speak with clinically trained mental health professionals. This alignment strengthens service delivery and expands Avel’s footprint to over 45 states.
