Avoyelles Hospital Opens Freedom Behavioral Mental Health Unit

Freedom Behavioral Marksville is the latest addition to Avoyelles Hospital’s array of health care services. According to Tim Curry, chief executive officer of Avoyelles Hospital, a section of Colonial Nursing Home was converted into a 12-bed inpatient geriatric psychiatric center with the aim of improving area residents’ access to necessary mental health services and treatment. The project cost $450,000.
