Behavioral Health Urgent Care Opens In Jacksonville, North Carolina   

During January 2024, the new Eastern NC Outpatient and Behavioral Health Urgent Care (BHUC) in Jacksonville, North Carolina, launched as an alternative to emergency departments and detention centers for people experiencing a behavioral health crisis related to mental health or addiction. The Tier III facility was set up through a partnership between RI International and the State of North Carolina’s Department of Health and Human Services. 

BHUC will offer services to consumers aged 18 and up, including stabilization for short-term crisis needs, therapeutic support, and connection to resources for continuation of care as needed.  At launch, the facility . . .
