Bellin Moves To Acquire Dickinson County Healthcare
Bellin Health (Bellin) has recently taken its first steps in acquiring Dickinson County Healthcare System (DCHS). As of this week, the two organizations have signed a letter of intent to pursue a deal.
While the two provider organizations have collaborated before, DCHS anticipates that a merger would allow it to fund and expand upon its current services. Bellin currently operates in Dickinson County, offering services such as primary care, dermatology, and behavioral health. It is expected that the acquisition will be completed during the second quarter of 2018, should the boards of both organizations approve of it.
