Blue Ridge Juvenile Detention Announces New Superintendent

The Blue Ridge Juvenile Detention Commission announced Cathy Roessler as the next superintendent of the Virginia-based Blue Ridge Juvenile Detention Center. Roessler joined Blue Ridge Juvenile Detention in 2008 as the programs coordinator and has served as the assistant superintendent since 2010. Roessler is replacing the retiring Charles Edwards, who plans to retire October 1, 2015. Roessler is a graduate of the University of Maine at Presque Isle and also holds a master of social work degree from Virginia Commonwealth University.
