Brandywine Center For Autism Opens In Penny Hill
A new facility in Brandywine Hundred that offers support for children with Autism held its grand opening on Thursday. The 3,300-square-foot Brandywine Center for Autism, located in Penny Hill behind St. Helena's Church off Philadelphia Pike, primarily serves children ages 2 to 8. Jess Baldwin, the center's clinical director, said staff facilitate Applied Behavior Analysis therapy for children who have Autism, a range of developmental disorders that are often characterized by difficulties in social interaction, verbal and nonverbal communication and repetitive behaviors.
