Houston’s BridgingApps® Program For Children With Disabilities Receives $30,000 Grant

Amerigroup Foundation is issuing a $30,000 grant to the BridgingApps® Program, offered by Easter Seals Greater Houston. The program teaches children with disabilities about the importance of nutrition and physical activity to their health. The grant will be used to build a program around mobile technology and apps to improve the health of cognitive/physically disabled children.

The new program will be led by both a registered dietitian nutritionist, and therapist with expertise in the use of mobile technology to improve health outcomes in children with disabilities. A pilot program of 100 participants will use the low cost apps . . .
