New Brownsville Child Development Center Offers Behavioral Health For Children Ages 0-5
In an ongoing effort to increase awareness and treatment of mental health issues in very young children, The Jewish Board has opened the Brownsville Child Development Center in the New York City suburb. The center offers a wide range of therapeutic services, from identifying emerging emotional or psychological issues, to involving entire families to heal trauma in very young children, to offering intensive treatment or referrals for children with more acute needs. Brownsville is one of the most poverty stricken areas of the city, and a neighborhood in which children are at the greatest risk for behavioral health disorders.
