Burrell Behavioral Health Creates New Facility For Faster, More Accessible Care
Burrell Behavioral Health announced the opening of its new facility for people experiencing behavioral health crises or addiction disorders to receive help quickly. The goal of the new Rapid Access Unit is to increase accessibility for adults and lower the number of people going into the emergency rooms of hospitals in the area.
According to Drew Shoemaker, M.D., the medical director at the Burrell Rapid Access Unit, the unit will offer psychiatric consultation, addiction treatment counseling, and medication therapies.
