California Awards $67 Million In Grants To Expand Mental Health Early Intervention Programs
California’s Department of Health Care Services (DHCS) and the Mental Health Services Oversight and Accountability Commission (MHAOAC) recently awarded $67 million toward expansion of early intervention programs and practices that provide mental health and wellness services to the state’s children, youth, and young adults. The grants, which are part of Governor Gavin Newsom's Children and Youth Behavioral Health Initiative (CYBHI), were awarded to 99 organizations across 30 counties. The state said the awards will:
