California DDS Awards $22 Million In Grants To 75 Entities For Projects To Improve Cultural Competency
The California Department of Developmental Services (DDS) awarded $22 million to 75 community-based organizations and regional centers for projects to improve cultural and linguistic competency. The awarded projects focus on more than 30 languages and 16 unique ethnicities. The projects will include approaches such as: community navigation, family support/training, and projects intended to build a more diverse workforce.
