California Delivers $1.49 Billion In Behavioral Health & Community Housing Grants
The California Department of Health Care Services (DHCS) and the Department of Social Services (DSS) released $1.49 billion in grants to support behavioral health treatment and community housing for those with disabilities. These new grants are intended to help people with mental health and substance use disorders get connected to housing on their path to treatment, provide care and housing for older adults, and increase capacity at mental health and substance use disorder facilities.
The grants were for the following:
DHCS disbursed $907 million through its Behavioral Health Bridge Housing (BHBH) to 53 counties to address housing and treatment . . .
