California Releases RFA For The Proposition 1 Bond Behavioral Health Continuum Infrastructure Program Round 2, $800 Million In Grants Available
The California Department of Health Care Services (DHCS) announced the availability of $800 million in funding for the Proposition 1 Bond Behavioral Health Continuum Infrastructure (BHCIP) Round 2: Unmet Needs. The request for applications (RFA) was released on May 30, 2025, with applications due by October 28, 2025. Awards are anticipated during the spring of 2026.
Bond BHCIP Round 2 aims at funding projects that build, acquire, or expand local behavioral health facilities. The funding will also go toward helping projects improve and expand residential treatment, outpatient care, crisis services, and mobile crisis infrastructure.
