CareFirst Partners With Navigator Healthcare To Improve Access To Addiction Treatment

CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield (CareFirst), a large not-for-profit health plan in the mid-Atlantic region, partnered with Navigator Healthcare Inc. (Navigator) to improve access to addiction treatment for CareFirst members. Navigator will provide immediate telephonic support to connect CareFirst members with a behavioral health professional experienced with addiction who will present treatment options and schedule a same- or next-day evaluation. For members who enter addiction treatment, Navigator will provide follow-up care for up to six months to assist members with transitions of care and to help them troubleshoot recovery challenges.
