Catholic Charities Hawaii To Build Housing For Low-Income Seniors
The Catholic Charities Housing Development Corporation (CCHDC) recently purchased 3.86 acres of land that it plans to build new housing on for low-income seniors. The deal for the land, which is located in Kahului on the island of Maui, was made with Hawaiian real estate company Alexander and Baldwin (A&B).
Specifically, the project will house seniors ages 55 and up who earn 60% or less of the county’s area median income. CCHDC has chosen to name the new housing the Kahului Lani Senior Affordable Rental Project, and plans for it to include more than 160 . . .
