Clark County Opens Crisis Stabilization Center In Southern Nevada
University Medical Center of Southern Nevada (UMC), in partnership with Clark County, opened a crisis stabilization center in North Las Vegas. The facility provides 24/7 psychiatric crisis and detoxification services.
The 17,000-square-foot center includes 35 outpatient chairs and is designed to serve as an alternative to emergency departments and jails for individuals experiencing mental health crises or substance use disorders. It accepts referrals from law enforcement and emergency medical services, as well as walk-ins.
Services are available to adults ages 18 and older regardless of insurance status, with stabilization stays typically lasting up to 24 . . .
