CODAC In Rhode Island Launches Mobile Medical Opioid Treatment Unit Able To Dispense Methadone As Part Of Full MAT
Non-profit CODAC Behavioral Healthcare, a large outpatient opioid treatment program in Rhode Island, launched a mobile addiction treatment unit that can dispense methadone, buprenorphine, and naltrexone for opioid use disorder as part of medication assisted treatment (MAT). CODAC’s mobile medical unit is the first in the nation to be approved under the new regulations from the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) that went into effect on July 28, 2021.
