County Jail Wins National Award For Inmate Mental Health Services
The county jail of Westchester County recently received a national award for its Community Oriented Re-Entry (CORE) program. CORE—which provides mental health services to inmates—won the “Program of the Year” honors, granted by the National Commission on Correctional Health Care.
The award, which was presented to the county jail in Chicago on November 6, represents the jail’s positive results achieved in helping to deliver mental health services to its inmates.
