CVS Health Invests $100 Million In Community Health Initiatives
CVS Health (CVS) recently announced an investment of $100 million into community health initiatives. The funding will help pay for a public health program named “Building Healthier Communities,” which is backed by the CVS Health Foundation and Aetna Foundation—made possible through CVS’s acquisition of Aetna late last year.
The funds—which will be distributed over a five-year period—will go toward the expansion of CVS’ Project Health program, as well as toward funding organizations that combat chronic conditions and diseases, such as the American Cancer Society.
