CVS Health Plans To Open 20 Pharmacy-Only Locations Across The Country In 2026

CVS Health is opening nearly 20 pharmacy-only locations across the country in 2026, a format designed to provide more focused access to pharmacy services in select communities. The company opened its initial pharmacy-only location in Birmingham, Alabama in late 2025. The new locations for 2026 will be in Chicago, Illinois; Houston, Texas; Roxbury, Massachusetts; Detroit, Michigan; and Brooklyn, New York.

Each pharmacy-only site occupies roughly 3,000 square feet and offers a full-service pharmacy, a curated selection of over-the-counter products, and access to services such as prescription fulfillment, immunizations, and pharmacist consultations.
