Digital Therapeutics Startup Akili Interactive Inks Deal With Japanese Pharma Organization

Boston, Massachusetts-based digital therapeutics startup Akili Interactive (Akili) recently announced it has signed a partnership with Japanese pharmaceutical organization Shionogi Inc. (Shionogi). Shionogi is dedicated to advancing the greater good by developing, partnering, and commercializing medicine to treat serious unmet medical needs.

The partnership will see Akili receiving $20 million upfront from Shionogi, along with an up to an additional $105 million depending on whether certain development and commercial milestones are reached.
