District Of Columbia Establishes Office Of Migrant Services
The District of Columbia is establishing an Office of Migrant Services to provide support and services to migrants being bused to Washington, D.C. from Texas and Arizona. Since the spring of 2022, the two states have said they sent about 9,400 migrants to the District to get the attention of the President. The situation has created a humanitarian crisis. After arrival in the District, most of the migrants move to final destinations outside the District.
