Eastern State Hospital Long-Term Care Facility To Close
It was recently announced through the Kentucky Cabinet for Health and Family Services that the Eastern State Hospital Long-Term Care Facility will be closing as a result of state budget reductions. The UK HealthCare-owned psychiatric facility currently serves 14 individuals who have acute mental health needs.
While the closure of the facility will not influence any of the hospital’s other services, it will result in the termination of its geriatric and acquired brain injury programs.
