FDA Approves Over-The-Counter Use Of Carrot’s Smoking Cessation Device, Pivot

Carrot, Inc., received expanded indications from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for over-the-counter (OTC) use of its Pivot Carbon Monoxide Breath Sensor smoking cessation device. The expanded indication was based on review of a clinical trial that indicated that the device data increased user’s motivation to quit smoking. The new FDA clearance allows Carrot to highlight this expanded indication in its labeling and promotion of the sensor.
