Florida health plan Sunshine Health, a Centene Corporation company, awarded $100,000 in child care and transportation grants to five nonprofit organizations across Florida. The grants are designed to connect low-income individuals in more than 40 counties with reliable transportation and affordable child care, addressing key barriers to employment and access to health care services.

The initiative aims to support workforce participation among individuals served by the selected organizations. The announcement did not specify whether the funding is limited to current Sunshine Health members.
